Billingham Team Parish

Billingham Team Parish is a Church of England parish in the Diocese of Durham, covering the area of Billingham, Wolviston, The Clarences, Cowpen Bewley, Newton Bewley and the Seal Sands Industrial Estate. We work for the good of the whole parish from church centres at St Aidan's, St Cuthbert's, St Luke's and St Peter's Wolviston.

The parish is in a big period of change at the moment, and we'll be posting regularly to keep you in the picture, and maybe inspire you to be a part of the changes.

We'd really love to connect with you, so please contact the church office or one of the clergy if we can help in any way.

What's on

Maundy Thursday Communion

Occuring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Cuthbert's Billingham
Address
Church Lane Billingham, TS23 1BW, United Kingdom

On Maundy Thursday the tone begins to shift even further. The joy and anticipation of Palm Sunday turns dark, even as Jesus shares a last meal with friends, and kneels at their feet to wash them clean. We mark the day as darkness draws in with a service of Holy Communion followed by stripping the church in preparation for Good Friday and Holy Saturday - those truly black days. For those who wish to stay, a vigil will follow.

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm across all our congregations and activities. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
