Giving

Having a parish that serves such a large area, with so many forms of ministry along with paying for the day to day running of the five churches, financial support is important. Giving is something members of Billingham Team Parish do as part of our worship, commitment to God and support of the local and wider church of God. We do this in many different ways which are highlighted below.

Tax-Efficient Giving
If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax) then you can make donations tax efficiently. This means by completing a Gift Aid Declaration you will allow us to claim an additional 25p for every £1 you give. For more information contact our treasurer or look for the Gift Aid forms in the church you visit.

Other Ways To Give

  • Other ways you can give regularly include giving through your employer's Give As You Earn Scheme (check with your employer's HR department) and setting up a standing order through a charity agency such as CAF or Stewardship

  • Legacies - You can make a donation to Billingham Team Parish in your will. Please ask your solicitor when you make or change your will, or contact the parish treasurer for more information.

  • Share Gifts - Gifts of company shares can be donated to Billingham Team Parish (this entitles you to tax relief). A website to help you do this is Sharegift.

  • Online purchases - You can donate to Billingham Team Parish (at no cost to yourself) every time you buy online from a host of major suppliers such as Amazon, Ebay, Tesco, Asda, M&S, etc. Just go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk, register with them, nominate Billingham Team Parish as your chosen charity and follow the instructions. This will generate a donation to the Billingham Team Parish (typically 1.5%) on each qualifying purchase.

Making A One-Off Gift
On most Sundays you can put cash or cheque (payable to Billingham Parish) into the offering plate.
