The Churches

St. Aidan

is situated on Tintern Avenue (TS22 2DF) near John Whithead park and is in easy reach of the town centre. It was opened in 1955 and since then it has had numerous additions including the recently refurbished (2018) hall which can be hired for parties and use by organisations. Please contact the parish office if you wish to know more about hiring the hall.

St. Cuthbert

is situated on Billingham Green in Old Billingham (TS23 1BW). St. Cuthbert’s is a Grade 1 listed building with a Saxon tower and was founded in AD860. There is a vast churchyard which features a number of war graves. There is a detached church hall which can be hired for parties and use by organisations. Please contact the parish office if you wish to know more about hiring the hall.

St. Luke

is situated on Low Grange Avenue (TS23 3PF) near the small parade of shops and opposite Bewley Primary School. It was opened in 1964 and comprises of the main worship area and a small meeting area, with a kitchen, which is ideal for meetings. Please contact the parish office if you wish to know more about hiring the meeting room.

St. Mary Magdalene

is situated on Whitehouse Road (TS22 5DE) near the small parade of shops and the local public house. It was opened in 1965. The church is currently closed due to problems with the roof.

St. Peter

is situated in the village of Wolviston (TS22 5JZ). It is a Grade 2 listed building opened in 1876 comprising an extension which was opened in 1972 to incorporate a meeting room, kitchen and toilets. Please contact the parish office if you wish to know more about hiring the meeting room. St Peter has a churchyard which is still open for burials and it also features a number of war graves.
